Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a beautiful reserve known for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The drive takes about two hours, leading you through scenic landscapes before entering the park. Once inside, enjoy a full-day game drive as your guide helps you track elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and many bird species drawn to the Tarangire River. During the dry season, the wildlife concentration becomes especially impressive. A picnic lunch is served at a designated viewpoint. Continue exploring until late afternoon before driving to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, begin the drive toward Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy stunning views from the crater rim before descending onto the endless Serengeti plains. Arrive in the early afternoon and begin your first game drive across the wildlife-rich Seronera region, home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and numerous grazing animals. Your guide will help you explore major wildlife corridors and identify animal behavior. The Serengeti’s open horizons and natural beauty create excellent photographic opportunities. Later, drive to your camp or lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight rest amid nature.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day exploring the central Serengeti, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife areas. Early morning game drives often reveal predators hunting or patrolling their territories, including lions, hyenas, and elusive leopards. Continue exploring the Seronera Valley, where permanent rivers attract animals year-round. Your guide will take you through plains, woodlands, and riverbanks, explaining animal interactions and seasonal movements. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your adventure across the plains, observing elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, topis, and countless bird species. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for a warm dinner and peaceful overnight stay.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti, maximizing your chances of spotting predators and other wildlife in active early hours. Explore new areas or revisit favorite locations before beginning the scenic drive to Ngorongoro. Pass through vast plains and Masai villages, enjoying cultural elements and changing landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation located near the crater rim, offering impressive views of the world’s largest intact caldera. Relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s extraordinary crater exploration. The cool highland climate and natural surroundings provide a refreshing contrast to Serengeti’s open savannas.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside this incredible natural sanctuary. The crater floor supports dense wildlife populations including black rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, hippos, and abundant birdlife such as flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot near the hippo pool while admiring the breathtaking views. Continue exploring grasslands, wetlands, forests, and lakeshores as your guide interprets animal behavior and ecology. In the afternoon, ascend the crater wall and begin your drive back to Arusha. Arrive before evening and transfer to your hotel or airport for onward travel.
